Fadil Sarki studied journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade. As an active mountaineer since 1975. with his camera he captures impressions from the numerous mountaineering trips in Serbia and abroad, publishes them and wins first prizes in mountaineering photography competitions.
He worked as a photo editor in the magazine Planinarski Glasnik, then collaborated with Ilustrovana Politika, the National Review of Serbia, the internet portal Srbijanet, and the magazine Refoto.
He had ten solo exhibitions.
He has exhibited collectively in more than one hundred and seventy exhibitions, including the World Biennale in Indonesia), the exhibition “New Images of Belgrade” (Belgrade and Bratislava, 2010), Yu press photo (2007), Press photo Serbia (2010, 2016, 2019) ), Selection of the photo of the year by Status magazine (2008), Salon, Zagreb (2010), Sarajevo photo award (2013), Rovinj photodays (2020, 2021)
He is a laureate of over 30 awards in Serbia and abroad. At the Republic exhibitions in Serbia he won awards nine times. He twice won first place in the Press photo Serbia competition (2016,2019), then the first prize for documentary photography in Sarajevo “Balkan photo Award”, the first prize for architecture at the photography festival “Rovinj photo days” 2020. third prize for Urban Landscape in Rovinj 2021
He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists and Designers of Serbia and is a master of photography.
